Admin — Ontology
Ontology Studio is the operator surface for governed business/domain vocabulary. It lives under Manage → Ontology.
Route: /ontology
Surfaces: Change Sets, Definitions, Mappings, Reprocess Jobs
Why It Exists
Section titled “Why It Exists”Memory should not compile raw memory into durable business structure without a review point. Ontology Studio lets admins inspect evidence-backed suggestions, edit weak proposals, approve durable definitions, and watch the async reprocess job that updates tenant-shared Brain pages/facets.
Surfaces
Section titled “Surfaces”| Surface | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Change Sets | Start scans, review suggested entity types, relationships, facet templates, mappings, evidence, confidence, frequency, and impact |
| Definitions | Inspect approved entity types, relationship types, and facet templates |
| Mappings | Inspect optional external mappings such as Schema.org or internal vocabularies |
| Reprocess Jobs | Check whether approved changes have been applied to Brain materialization |
Operational Guidance
Section titled “Operational Guidance”- Start with a scan only when you expect recurring business patterns in the corpus.
- Do not approve a line item without cited evidence.
- Edit tenant-facing names and guidance before approval; external mappings are metadata, not canonical names.
- After approval, verify the reprocess job before assuming the Brain has been updated.
- Use the operations guide when a reprocess job fails or appears to apply fewer pages than expected.
